Shipper/ Receiver

Kerr Controls Ltd. is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment and Supplies. We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, dedicated and highly motivated Shipper/Receiver in our Charlottetown, PE location.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience with warehouse duties. They should have experience operating a forklift, general knowledge of inventory control concepts, WHMIS, and Dangerous Goods. OHS and First Aid Courses would be considered an asset. Industry experience is also beneficial, but not required, and the successful candidate must be willing to participate in continuous technical and professional training. Candidates must have a valid provincial driver license, minimum grade 12 education, knowledge of computer systems (ideally warehouse management systems) and the ability to perform moderate heavy lifting, as the position entails extensive physical activity on a regular basis.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of goods to Kerr’s customers, detailed completion of paperwork, safe and efficient work practices and particular attention to detail. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for providing support to our customers, to the inside and outside sales teams, and to other Kerr staff to help achieve branch performance goals.

Kerr offers a competitive compensation package that includes partially subsidized group insurance coverage as well as participation in the company’s Registered Pension Plan. The salary related to this role will vary depending on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate, and will be in the range of $35,000 to $40,000 per annum.
